We wanted to tell you more about how we work with vendors and who our suppliers are.
We believe that today nobody can doubt the standards of The vendor seven as a Bali wedding organiser. You can always see the kind of stylish weddings we create and also the number of couples who have entrusted their special day arrangements to us. All this is shown in our Portfolio page where many of our past events are displayed. But these achievements could not be possible without the help of our vendors and partners: decorators and florists, catering providers, photographers, make-up artists and many more. The vendorseven vendors examination system, or how we select our suppliers: We don't want a situation where less-than-perfect work of our partners can bring disappointment to our newlyweds. That’s why we have implemented a unique system of selection of all new vendors. As soon as we receive a cooperation inquiry from any new supplier, the process comprises the following stages:
We carefully check and analyse their products or services, experience, reputation, reviews, legal issues etc. For example, a portfolio (quality and number of events) is an essential indicator for any photography or videography company. After that, we set up a meeting at the potential partner’s office to inspect their works and staff. For example, whilst visiting a catering provider we can sample their food and check their equipment. The next stage is to invite the potential partner to our office for training-introduction of The vendorseven high quality standards. Afterwards, the final stage: our potential supplier must pass an examination based on their training. If this examination is successful, the partner is allowed to provide services to our customers. So our vendor examination system ensures that our brides and grooms experience only perfect quality products and services from the best wedding suppliers. Below, as an example, you may view the listing of our partners from main company's wedding destination - Bali. It should be noted that there is no need for examination of some famous vendors who have enjoyed an excellent reputation on the market for years. For example, we trust the stylists from Bloomz, caterers from Dijong or photographers from Axioo.
Figure out what you truly need and look for vendors who scale
Buy-side: As a startup, you’ll want to focus only on your immediate needs. It can be tempting to grab the larger item, because it’s such a great deal! This is why my wife once revoked my Costco privileges. Unfortunately, my strategy of “we’ll use it all…eventually” did not align with our budget. When you’re in startup mode, cash is scarce. You’ll need to make sure your vendors can scale with your business to help you get full value out of the purchases you make as you grow. Sell-side: Do your best to match pricing and packaging options to your customers’ needs. It’s better to have them repeat-buy (and tell their friends) over a series of value-based deals than to have them feel like you gut-punched them for all they had on one deal.
The best vendor might not have the largest billboard: Buy-side: While Google Apps for Work is a wonderful service for startups, the best option is often not the dominant player. New companies are forming every day that do things better, faster and at a lower cost than their well-known counterparts. Don’t be afraid to check out the latest offerings, and be sure to take advantage of any free trials. We gave companies like Expensify and Harvest a try in their early days, and they continue to do their jobs brilliantly. I also recommend finding a good local accounting firm. In Kansas City, Fortiviti, helped us save at least 10-15 hours per week on invoicing, payroll, and tax reporting. Having that time back in your day to devote to your own product or service is immensely valuable.
